School Closings
Please be aware that Cedar River Montessori School shuts down for weather related emergencies when the Issaquah District shuts down. We do this because their conditions most closely match our own. Occasionally we shut our school down when Issaquah is open if we have a power outage or some other emergency very specific to CRMS that prevents safe operation of school. Once we declare an emergency shut down we do not open the school later in the day. We also do not hold any scheduled after school events if there is an emergency shut down on the day they are scheduled. If we have to shut down after we have already started we will call you at home or work. It is your responsibility to pick up your child immediately. We would never do this if there wasn’t a good reason and we need to make sure all children are sent home so that staff can be dismissed and return to their homes safely.
The Compendium is Cedar River Montessori School's newsletter. The newsletter keeps families informed about upcoming events, things that are happening in the classrooms or around the school and many other things. Most families currently receive it on-line although extra copies are left by parents' mailboxes each time a new edition is published.
